Football Game Preview: Clearfield Bison vs. USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy]

The Clearfield Bison will square off against USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clearfield took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 34-28 W over Penn Cambria. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bison considering their 13-point performance the contest before.

Colton Ryan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 148 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. Clearfield also got a significant boost from Xavier Curry, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 115 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clearfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 272 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy] waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 26-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Clearfield's record now sits at 7-3. As for USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy], their record is now 7-2.

Clearfield was able to grind out a solid victory over USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy] in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 34-24.
