Walkertown is a perfect 10-0 against McMichael since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolfpack will take on the Phoenix in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Walkertown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Wednesday, Walkertown beat East Forsyth 57-45. Given the Wolfpack's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Eagles are ranked 337th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

While McMichael didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over Bartlett Yancey on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Phoenix as they're now sitting on three straight.

Walkertown's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for McMichael, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Walkertown against McMichael when the teams last played back in February, as the team secured an 82-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
