Basketball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mercer Mustangs and fell 82-22. While losing is never fun, the Muskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while the Mustangs are ranked 181st).

Jamestown got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Danner Babcock and Lucas Cole, who each put up five points.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mercer, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Jamestown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-29 defeat against Saegertown on the 14th. As for Mercer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-28 win against Kennedy Catholic on the 12th.
