Basketball Game Preview: Superior Wildcats vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies

The Superior Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Standing Bear Grizzlies on Friday. Superior has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Superior is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Heartland on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Superior had to suffer through a 64-28 loss at the hands of Heartland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Huskies since January 9, 2018.

Brayton Meyer was Superior's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Thomas M. Mathis held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Colten Butler took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, Standing Bear was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkhorn.

Superior's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Standing Bear, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
