Basketball Recap: Fallston Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Fallston had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 11-3 to make it five. They managed a 53-48 victory over the Aberdeen Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2025, they had to take a 57-56 loss.

Aiden Robinson had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was John Wirth, who posted 12 points and four steals.

As for Aberdeen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games.

Despite the loss, Aberdeen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Devin Murphy had 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Murphy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Danard Waddell, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Coincidentally, Fallston and Aberdeen will both be playing North East the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
