Football Recap: Terre Haute North Vigo Takes a Loss

Terre Haute North Vigo fell victim to Bloomington North and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Cougars, falling 56-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

John Bargen had an outrageously good game for Bloomington North as he threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Cougars' leading receiver Rashon English was Bargen's top target yet again, picking up 102 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Terre Haute North Vigo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bloomington North, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Terre Haute North Vigo will look to defend their home field on Friday against Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. As for Bloomington North, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jeffersonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
