Basketball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Takes a Loss

Elk Point-Jefferson was the 71-43 winner over Centerville when they last played one another back in February of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies took a 58-42 bruising from the Centerville Tornadoes on Monday.

Elk Point-Jefferson has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Centerville, their record is now 11-5.

Elk Point-Jefferson and Centerville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings. Elk Point-Jefferson will square off against West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 70 places (75 vs. 5). Meanwhile, Centerville (ranked 70th) will meet St. Mary (ranked 12th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
