Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for East Wilkes

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Wilkes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bradford Prep Bears 59-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Bradford Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Bradley, who shot 62% from the field on his way to 19 points. Micah Jones was another key player, putting up 14 points.

East Wilkes' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points over those games. As for Bradford Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

East Wilkes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 90-52 defeat against Queen's Grant on the 4th. Bradford Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
