Soccer Recap: Lincoln High Comes Up Short

Lincoln High lost against Norfolk back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Links fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Anwar Zandinan was handed one for Lincoln High, while Norfolk got theirs courtesy of Wilbur Anderson.

Lincoln High's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Norfolk, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Lincoln High wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Lincoln North Star on the 16th. As for Norfolk, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 victory against Lincoln Northeast on the 15th.
