Baseball Recap: Logan County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Logan County faced off against Franklin-Simpson on Monday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Logan County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 16-9. As for Franklin-Simpson, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

While Logan County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
