Basketball Recap: Duncanville Snags 17th Victory in Last 18 Games

Duncanville extended their postseason success on Saturday against Bellaire. They had just enough and edged out the Bellaire Cardinals 54-52. Given the Panthers and Pantherettes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Cardinals are ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Duncanville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayden Edwards, who posted 23 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christopher Hunt Jr, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

Duncanville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season. With the loss, Bellaire broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-11.

As of now, neither Duncanville nor Bellaire have any future games scheduled.
