Baseball Recap: Summit Comes Up Short

Summit lost to Union Catholic on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-7. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Union Catholic, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4-1.

Coming up, Summit will host Union at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Catholic, they will head out to face off against Rutgers Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Argonauts have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
