Landrum extends home winning streak to six

Recap: Landrum Cardinals vs. Greenville Tech Charter Warriors

The Landrum Cardinals waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 74-51 margin over Greenville Tech Charter. With Landrum ahead 44-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Franklin Davis was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four blocks and three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Mario Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four blocks.

Landrum's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Greenville Tech Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landrum won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Blacksburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Blacksburg is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Greenville Tech Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Chesnee at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chesnee's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups.
