Lincoln-Way East faced Lincoln-Way West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Griffins blew past the Warriors 9-3. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Lincoln-Way East's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Lincoln-Way West, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-10 record.

Coming up, Lincoln-Way East will be playing at home against Homewood-Flossmoor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln-Way West, they will face off against Lockport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Porters will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
