With a playoff win on the line, Plainfield rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Quakers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Plainfield to victory were Taylor Donovan and Savannah Brock. Donovan had 19 digs and two aces, while Brock had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most assists Brock has posted over her last nine contests.
When it comes to explaining why Brownsburg lost, don't look at Kate Vrabel. Despite the final result, she had 28 digs and three aces. Vrabel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Plainfield's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Brownsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-8.
