Ridgedale extended their winning streak  to six  on Monday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They were the clear victors by  a  22-2 margin over the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets. The Rockets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Kenzie Delaney was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news, Ridgedale got a  massive  performance out of  Alexis Burton, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Brenda Scott, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs and three  RBI.
 Ridgedale  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cory-Rawson struck out ten times.
As for Cory-Rawson, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 On Cory-Rawson's side,  Addyson Duffman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgedale will  take on  rival Waynesfield-Goshen  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Rockets 3.8, the Tigers 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cory-Rawson is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Ridgemont  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
