Basketball Game Preview: Bonsall Legionnaires vs. The Cambridge School Griffins

Bonsall hasn't had much luck against The Cambridge School recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bonsall Legionnaires will host The Cambridge School Griffins at 5:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Bonsall was beaten by Coastal Academy 68-8. The contest marked the Legionnaires' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, The Cambridge School entered their match against Preuss UCSD on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cambridge School fell just short of Preuss UCSD by a score of 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Griffins have suffered since December 11, 2023.

Bonsall's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for The Cambridge School, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.

Things could have been worse for Bonsall, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-58 loss to The Cambridge School in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Bonsall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
