Basketball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Takes a Loss

Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the J.F. Webb Warriors and fell 90-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Warriors since January 25, 2022.

Leading J.F. Webb to victory were Daniel Wright and Joshua Barnette. Wright almost dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 14 assists, and nine steals, while Barnette dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. Wright's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaydan Hester, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and four steals.

Durham School of the Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for J.F. Webb, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Durham School of the Arts will be playing in front of their home fans against South Granville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Granville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.1 points per game this season. As for J.F. Webb, they will head out on the road to face off against Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. J.F. Webb also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 63.7 points per game.
