Soccer Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Compton Tarbabes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Centennial of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Centennial now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for Compton, their record is now 2-3-2.

Centennial will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Culver City at 6:14 p.m. on January 5, 2026. The contest will give Centennial their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Compton, they will take on Mayfair in a tournament on Friday.
