Basketball Game Preview: Alexandria-Monroe Tigers vs. Eastbrook Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers take on the Eastbrook Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Alexandria-Monroe is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Saturday, Alexandria-Monroe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Tri-Central.

Meanwhile, Eastbrook ended up a good deal behind Frankton on Friday and lost 50-33. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Alexandria-Monroe will have to keep a close watch on Draven Collins and Jayden Younce, a pair of players who had a big impact on Eastbrook's prior game. Collins went 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points, while Younce posted four points and three steals.

Eastbrook dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Alexandria-Monroe didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eastbrook in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
