Basketball Game Preview: Cornerstone Christian Lions vs. First Baptist Academy Eagles

The Cornerstone Christian Lions will challenge the First Baptist Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Cornerstone Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Austin Classical to the tune of 98-41 back in December of 2024. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 41 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, First Baptist Academy strolled past Hill Country Christian with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-46.

Cornerstone Christian better keep an eye on Noah Napier. He was instrumental in First Baptist Academy's win, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 19 boards. With that strong performance, Napier is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy De La Rosa, who posted 13 points along with six boards and three steals.

First Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
