Baseball Recap: Whitmer Takes a Loss

Whitmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-5 to the Findlay Trojans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anthony Leroux made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Summers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Findlay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

While Whitmer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
