Soccer Game Preview: Grenada vs. Saltillo

The Grenada Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Saltillo Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Grenada turned things around against South Panola on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 2-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Saltillo sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Lake Cormorant on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Saltillo in their matchups with Lake Cormorant: they've now won seven in a row.

Saltillo's one-goal win came courtesy of Cooper Bingham, who's now up to seven this season.

The win got Saltillo back to even at 6-6. As for Grenada, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8-1.

Grenada might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Saltillo in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
