Baseball Recap: Donahue Catholic Has No Trouble Against Everglades City

Donahue Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Everglades City on Wednesday. The Shamrocks blew past the Gators 22-4. Considering the Shamrocks have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Kadlec was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. What's more, he posted five RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Thomas Green, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.

Donahue Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Donahue Catholic now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Everglades City, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Donahue Catholic will head out to challenge Mason Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Everglades City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
