Basketball Recap: Niskayuna Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Natalie Birmingham and Skye Linyear

Niskayuna lost against Bethlehem Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Niskayuna Silver Warriors took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethlehem Central Eagles. The Silver Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Niskayuna had strong showings from Skye Linyear, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 19 points and eight boards, and Natalie Birmingham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Linyear is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciarra Gonzalez, who posted 11 points.

Niskayuna's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Bethlehem Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Niskayuna will be playing at home against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bethlehem Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Shenendehowa at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
