Lipscomb Academy entered their tilt with Girls Prep on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Bruisers. Six seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lipscomb Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Girls Prep, they moved to 19-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
