Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. Clearwater Tornadoes

Dunedin is 0-9 against Clearwater since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dunedin Falcons have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Clearwater Tornadoes at 7:45 p.m. on December 15th. Dunedin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 664th, while Clearwater is ranked 283rd).

Last Wednesday, Dunedin was beaten by Largo 72-32. Dunedin has not had much luck with Largo recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Aidan Laird put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Clearwater strolled past Lakewood with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-44. The victory was just what Clearwater needed coming off of a 69-48 defeat in their prior matchup.

Clearwater's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicho Simes, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristopher Foote, who scored 11 points.

Dunedin's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Clearwater, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
