Softball Game Preview: Bromfield Trojans vs. Quabbin Regional Panthers

Bromfield hasn't had much luck against Quabbin Regional recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Bromfield will be strutting in after a win while Quabbin Regional will be coming in after a defeat.

Bromfield took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Ayer Shirley. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Quabbin Regional took on West Boylston on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 11-4.

Bromfield's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Quabbin Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Bromfield suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Quabbin Regional in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
