After a string of seven wins, Hillsboro's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benbrook Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Charlee Mack paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up six kills. Mack got some help from Cloe Creech and her four assists. Finally, Arrya Garrett kept Hillsboro's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Benbrook, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will take on Connally at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benbrook, they will venture away from home to challenge Arlington Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
