Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Takes a Loss

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 75-14 loss at the hands of the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Nimrods can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 659th, while the Panthers are ranked 102nd).

Watersmeet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Ewen-Trout Creek, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Watersmeet will head out on the road to square off against Johnston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watersmeet is facing Johnston at the right time seeing as Johnston is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ewen-Trout Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against L'Anse at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
