Mater Dei had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Desert Hills Thunder.

Mater Dei not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Desert Hills to exactly 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16.

Layli Ostovar paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up ten kills. Ostovar got some help from Sam Capinpin and her nine assists. Kalea Lee controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Desert Hills, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7.

Mater Dei has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Orangewood Christian on the 27th. As for Desert Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Jesuit on the 27th.
