Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Mount Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday, Unity Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against Ahoskie Christian on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Ahoskie Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Unity Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Ahoskie Christian work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 27-25.

Ahoskie Christian found their leader in freshman Keira Lassiter, who had ten digs and two aces. Lassiter is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ahoskie Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will host New Bern Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ahoskie Christian, they will be playing at home against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
