Basketball Recap: Long Takes a Loss

Long and Ariton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Long had to settle for second. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ariton Purple Cats. The Rebels' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ariton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nya Allen, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Woodfaulk, who put up eight points and five steals.

Long's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Ariton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

As of now, neither Long nor Ariton have any future games scheduled.
