Basketball Game Preview: College Station Cougars vs. Lake Creek Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the College Station Cougars face off against the Lake Creek Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday... College Station is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, College Station ended up a good deal behind Rudder and lost 54-39.

Meanwhile, Lake Creek earned a 69-58 win over Episcopal School of Dallas on Saturday.

Lake Creek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for College Station, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

College Station and Lake Creek were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but College Station came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat. Thankfully for College Station, Aedan Lewis (who went 7 for 13 on his way to 22 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
