Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Riverside last Tuesday, Lexington came back down to earth. The Lexington Tigers fell just short of the Sparkman Senators by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Owen Foster was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jake Goodman also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sparkman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Lexington will face off against Lausanne Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sparkman, they will be taking part in a tournament against West Union at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. West Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
