Baseball Recap: Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Tremont Turks on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Tremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will take on Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tremont, they will face off against Cornerstone Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Turks are facing the Cyclones at the right time seeing as the Cyclones are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
