Softball Game Preview: Ashland Hornets vs. Hodgdon Hawks

The Ashland Hornets will challenge the Hodgdon Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ashland is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Katahdin, falling 10-4.

Meanwhile, Hodgdon lost 22-15 to Central Aroostook on Monday.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hodgdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Ashland came out on top in a nail-biter against Hodgdon in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 11-9. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
