Softball Game Preview: Buhl Indians vs. Kimberly Bulldogs

Buhl is 1-8-1 against Kimberly since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indians will take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Buhl has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Buhl couldn't beat Gooding on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Indians lost 13-6 to the Senators. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Kimberly waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-2.

Kimberly got a great performance from Gracie Alleman as she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Cann, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaci Cowger, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Kimberly hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Kimberly pushed their record up to 17-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buhl, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Buhl suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Kimberly when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
