Basketball Recap: Aubrey Bleeke's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Wayne North Side over Leo

Fort Wayne North Side played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Leo Lions, falling 52-31. The Legends were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Fort Wayne North Side's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrey Bleeke, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayonna Flotow, who put up three points along with five boards and three steals.

Leo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mackenzie Collins, who had 11 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Collins a new career-high in rebounds. Malina Lape was another key player, putting up ten points.

Fort Wayne North Side's record is now 2-9. As for Leo, they moved to 8-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Fort Wayne North Side will head out to take on Fort Wayne Snider at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leo, they will host Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Huntington North will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Leo surely won't give up without a fight.
