Baseball Game Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Plant Panthers

The Robinson Knights will take on the Plant Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Robinson didn't have quite enough to beat Armwood and fell 9-8.

Tommy Fitzgerald was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Collin Rosenberg was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Plant got the win against Riverview on Saturday by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Plant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Robinson suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Plant in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
