Lafayette County posted their closest victory since December 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over the Lexington Minutemen. This was a revenge game for the Huskers: when they faced off against the Minutemen back in January, they had to take a 52-44 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Lafayette County and bumps their season record up to 11-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette County will host Carrollton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Richmond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
