Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Continues Home Dominance on Thursday + How To Watch

St. Francis had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Troubadours have posted since October 11th.

St. Francis wouldn't go down easily and took Cardinal Newman into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 21-25, 23-25, 16-14.

Hailey Sutton paced St. Francis' offense, picking up 17 kills. Sutton got some help from Katie Kramer and her 30 assists. Malia Fat controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Francis pushed their record up to 34-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cardinal Newman, their loss ended a nine-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-12.

Coming up, St. Francis will face off against West Park at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cardinal Newman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
