Softball Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof blew Moore Haven out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Moore Haven got their revenge. The Frostproof Bulldogs fell just short of the Moore Haven Terriers by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 12, 2024.

Frostproof saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Brantley, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, Brantley posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Emily Wells also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Frostproof is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Moore Haven, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Frostproof will be playing at home against George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moore Haven, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Glades Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glades Day's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Moore Haven's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
