Basketball Recap: Oak City Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Oak City Prep entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down Varsity Opponent 62-44. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-20 last Monday.

Oak City Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tiyeon Wilson out in front who went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Wilson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Amazin Dixon was another key player, going 7 of 12 en route to 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

Oak City Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Oak City Prep will square off against Trinity Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-56 victory against New Hope Academy Regional on the 15th.
