Basketball Recap: Hay Springs Hawks vs. Crawford Rams
Hay Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crawford Rams. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 39-26.
Despite the loss, Hay Springs still got an impressive performance from Julia Russell, who posted six points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave Russell a new career-high in steals. Mya Turman was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.
