Basketball Recap: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. Peebles Indians
Lynchburg-Clay gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 36-28 win over the Peebles Indians. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.
Lynchburg-Clay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Allie Waits out in front who earned seven points plus three steals. Adilyn Carraher was another key player, earning ten points along with three steals.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynchburg-Clay will take on West Union at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Peebles, they will square off against Williamsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
