Basketball Recap: Tuckahoe Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Tuckahoe won the last time they faced Haldane and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tuckahoe Tigers enjoyed a cozy 50-31 win over the Haldane Blue Devils. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 546th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tuckahoe is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Haldane, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Tuckahoe has already played their next contest (against Keio Academy of N.Y.), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Haldane has already played their next game, a 38-23 loss against Putnam Valley on the 27th.
