Volleyball Recap: South Stanly Comes Up Short

South Stanly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Anson Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on August 11th.

South Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Anson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

After both having extra time off, South Stanly and Albemarle will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Central Academy of Technology & Arts on the 28th.
