Volleyball Recap: Van Alstyne Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Van Alstyne came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mineola Yellowjackets.

Van Alstyne easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17.

Van Alstyne was led to victory by Savanna Young and Payton Murray. Young had ten digs and three aces, while Murray had nine digs. Young is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.
