Football Game Preview: Aurora Huskies vs. Central City Bison

For the second week in a row, Aurora is taking on Central City. The Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aurora will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Friday, Aurora didn't have too much trouble with Central City as they won 27-12.

Ian Jensen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 206 yards and a pair of scores. Those 206 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Pollet, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Aurora was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Aurora didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Canon Allen, Kashton Kleinschimdt, and Garrett Kuehner, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Aurora's record now sits at 6-3. As for Central City, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Pollet and Parker Zikmund. Pollet just won't slow down this season and has averaged 100.9 passing yards per game. Zikmund has been a dominant force too and has thrown 30 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 234.1 passing yards per game.

We should be in store for an exciting game as Aurora and Central City have no problem gaining yardage. The Huskies have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 358.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Central City struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 385.4 total yards.
